The Patel College of Global Sustainability hosted a course Hydrology & Hydraulics Concepts For A Flood Insurance Study on June 15, 2012.
The four hour course was designed for professionals dealing with implementation of community floodplain management programs. The course was run by M. (Krishna) Krishnamurthy, Ph.D., PE., CFM and the Florida Floodplain Managers Association. Participants were taught how hydrology and hydraulics data and methods are used to develop base flood elevations.
